Having Monday as a holiday,
Sounds like a fabulous idea,
For everyone but me.
I am working the whole bloody 3 days,
To meet the two deadlines on Tuesday.
One presentation,
One issue of half a DD package.

I should demand for a day off from the MD,
Since I am the only person working so hard,
While everyone is enjoying their long weekend!

Miss Soon sent a timely recommendation -
To read The Four Hour Work Week.
Which is a great idea,
Except I won't have time to read it soon.
May won't need to read that though,
She's already living life.

And since life has only changed a little since I read "How to be Idle",
I shall also aim to read "How to be Free",
As soon as I am free....

I shall reward myself with more than 7hours of sleep.

A appointment for pre-birthday lunch with my father,
Turned out to be a huge nightmare.
Infinite blaming & name calling,
Door slamming & cursing.
I will never forget how I was literally shaking,
And breaking out in cold sweat.

Today my heart goes out all children,
Who have abusive, mind-screwing parents,
Especially those who have to live with them,
Under the same dysfunctional household.

3 x 2 hours.

I met 3 different people today,
Each for a 2 hours session.

Each session of conversation,
Was very different from the other,
And I guess that is what makes it a good day.

The meeting with L* was all good,
In spite of what she told me,
About the rudest statements I've heard,
Coming from a stinking pale-faced bulldog,
Who insulted another friend of mine,
Plus attempted to cheapen our friendship.
Allow me to be an ass here,
If she had said it to me,
I would tell her to reassess her life,
And perhaps realise why she is not loved.
Some people need no compassion.
Ha!
The session ended on a nice note,
When L's property agent friend,
Mentioned that she might be able to get me some gigs.
Love-ly.

Good people are your friends.

An impromptu meet up.
Ruth & I called each other at the same time,
And ended up hanging out at 7ate9 at Esplanade,
Talking about music over tapas,
Sharing stories of over drinks.
I learnt how to go about printing CDs,
And that Ghim Moh is not so safe as we thought.
Ruth was being very good,
Not succumbing to Happy Hour promotion!
The rain helped to heighten he whole chillout feeling for sure.
We should do this thing more.

"Neighbourhood Prata" meet up with Joey.
Got myself a crash course on education changes in Singapore,
Plus learning that all tertiary institutions are private.
Which means PPP is not actually Private-Public partnership,
'Cos ITE/NUS etc are private in the eyes of MOE.
Uh...... how confusing.
Maybe the private & public part,
Just refers to the flow of $$$$.
Joey also told me a Cineleisure story,
Involving someone jumping a few floors,
And a brave Dr Enrica Tan stepping forward,
To tend to the bleeding victim.
I can't get it out of my head now...
