Went Fat Frogs with Ruth today.
FY called, insisting we go Monks but I refused to,
Despite her patience in trying to persuade.
Think she wasn't pleased at all.

Had a great evening with Ruth.
It's good when buddies still click after all these years,
In spite of differences in opinions.
Maybe this is what they call unity in diversity.
Certainly is the term to use for my group.

Feeling vexed due to some planning issues,
But I know I'll survive,
Simply because I know I'm strong enough to.
Ah, optimism.
