I didn't plan to blog,
but an event on the tube changed my mind.

Tube from Tottenham Court Road to Whitechapel,
Was in the drifting world of my own,
When I heard salsa drums & cheers,
Down the right end of the tube.
Two girls were happily dancing away,
While one of them played the drums.
Everyone was quite amused.
It came to an end rather hastily,
And the lady on my left told the man with her,
'Oh I wish they'd play it again!'
The man walked towards the group,
And spoke to the boy drummer.
Suddenly they cheered and shouted across,
"Happy Birthday, Cheryl!"
And proceeded to the Happy Birthday song,
Then played the salsa drums again,
While the man clapped and danced to it.
The woman seemed embarassed,
By his act & all the attention,
But was obviously very happy.
He came back with a kiss for her,
And a 'Happy Birthday'.
How endearing.
I'm sure this one would be memorable for her.

Weekend in a nutshell -
Dinner & mahjong at Ivy's,
Plus rooftop BBQ at Flat 18.
And Maria is back from Moscow.
