Just when we thought summer was over,
All the accumulated sunshine,
Meant for the summer that never was,
Gave its full blast the last 3 days.
Decided against going to Scala on Friday,
Despite the rare chance of going with Phoebe.
Arrived home to hear loud music from the backyard.
Opened the door to witness a live band,
In not mine, but my neighbour's backyard.
A house warming party with the Tube theme,
A good band, and friendly half-drunk people.
Conversation with a few random people -
'So, who do u know from this house?'
'Oh no one! I heard the music and I climbed over/walked in.'
Went flat-hunting on Saturday.
Met a Beijing gal viewing the same room.
'So, are you also interested in the place?'
'Urm I heard there are two gays living in the house...'
'Uh, so? Are you..'
'No no, I don't have anything against them,
Just that you know we might have to share stuff...'
'I am sure they won't use your lipstick.'
Thought about what she said again later,
And I think she was afraid of some diseases.
Regent Street was bursting with energy today,
With the Regent Street Festival,
That had 200 yards of paved lawn.
A bus stop was used to sell Thailand's Chang Beer,
And that brought back some dusty memories,
Of the 2 months in Bangkok 2 years back.
