There was an episode of Scrubs,
In which JD mentioned,
How we always seem to be very concern,
About what a person we used to respect think of us.
It was that episode when Dr Cox had a patient,
Who used to be his mentor.

Today I met my Primary school chinese teacher.
We haven't seen each other for 14 years,
Although we kept in touch -
We exchanged emails about 2-3 times each year.

蔡老师 still looks the same!
Perhaps not exactly the same,
But at least she showed no signs of aging.
No wonder people had called her a 老妖.

To my surprise,
There wasn't a single bit of awkwardness,
And we broke into a wonderful flow of conversation,
As smooth as the gin I had in Jac's place yesterday.
(Which was pretty damn smooth)
We parted after spending about 3 hours catching up,
Over long lunch at Genki sushi at Forum.
Of course 14 years couldn't be compressed into 3 hours,
Which is excellent since it means we will meet again soon.

I just can't get enough of good conversations.
