My first lending to Cambodia on Kiva,
Went to Leap Savon.

She will use it to
"... buy a gas-powered electricity generator,...
To work outside of daylight hours
and therefore increase her income."
How apt for a person whose thesis topic,
Was on lighting and rural development!
Leap still needs more lenders,
So join me now!

It was a great belated birthday gift from XY.
And by the time Leap repays the loan fully,
It would be another birthday for me.

Before the day even arrived,
I've received a collection of presents,
Mostly from Ruth.
(including souvenirs from California/Beijing)

They include:
1) Ang Pow (Mom)
2) Diesel messenger bag (Ruth+Celine+Yan)
3) T-shirt (Ruth)
4) Guitar-shaped Ice-maker (Ruth)
5) Notebook (Ruth)
6) Dinner (Dad)

Now I am wondering,
If I should get myself a new digicam for myself,
Or spend it on my scanty portfolio?

One of the best things this weekend,
Was hanging out till 6+ am this morning,
With Ruth & Yan at Clarke Quay,
Drinking warm (bleah) beer from 7-11,
Talking our hearts out.

Now I feel like 18 again ;)

Dear Mr Godzilla Architect at **A,

Kindly think a little more,
And you will know that I don't call the shots in the company.
So when I say "Do me a favour and email us what you are requesting",
It only means "I need my boss's approval to give you what you want."
(I was even polite!)

So ---
Help me to help you.

One of the signs of time passing,
Is when one of my kiva lendees,
Successfully repays his/her loan.

Today, Dolores Vasques from Mexico,
Returns me my US$25.

As my idea is to keep the same US$25,
Flowing in the same continent,
This time, the money lands up in Paraguay.
The group of 16 entrepreneurs,
Who call themselves 'The San Francisco Group',
Are shown below -

Good luck!
