Just leaving a note to tell everyone I'm safe and sound,
And is probably fatter now that all I did on the flights were sleeping & eating.

Right now at London, Imperial College's Computer Lab.
Computing illegally --- at least that's the term they use.
Sister Boing's place is really neat and cosy.
It's all white, and has a homely touch.
Her housemate (the nice one) was actually Sven's neighbour in class!

Small world huh!

The cool air here's refreshing,
The infamous duck rice at Bayswater is pretty good,
The walk through Kensington Garden was cheery,
The lady sitting beside me on the tube from Heathrow to Earl's Court was lovely.

I haven't written here for a long, long time.

Fridae is really smart.
Despite bad times,
They have decided to charge for photo-viewing.
What's more,
They automatically scan for every 'com' in your profile,
So that you can't leave URLs nor email addresses there as forms of contact.
Hence when I typed 'comes',

Had a haircut today.
Told Eve the hairdresser I was going away,
So she suggested shaving my head.
I politely declined the kind offer,
Hence I look like a furball now.
Celine was very sweet (and docile haha),
Sitting with me through the wohle thing patiently. :)
My hair now looks black in photos.

Had dinner with Jem & Sven at Sakae Wheelock,
And we had loads of fun talking about crap.
One thing I realise about my friends is,
Most of them are on a similar wavelength,
Hence we can warm up & click pretty quickly.
It's really a good thing!
Jem went home after the beer session,
So Sven & I chilled over soya milk.
And guess we were too caught up with catching up,
Cos in the end,
Nette's sweets for Sven is still in my bag.

My hair is suppose to be ash brown.
But it really looks more dark brown than anything.
Paid $26 instead of $10 cos of bleaching & ash is charged seperately.
Took photos of the CA from all views,
Cos she wanted to see how she looked from all angles.
LOL.
She's damn cute.
She thinks her hair was cut asymmetrically,
But I kept teasing her that it's her ears.

Went to the lawyer's,
Then to meet the aki mates at Change Alley.
Euros & Pounds are raging.
Headed home to collect some stuff,
Hurried to school to collect more stuff,
And the videotape that I needed to convert to VCD slipped my mind.
Damn it.
Went back to the office to give out chocs.
Tanky isn't back from quarantine yet,
So I left his share on his desk.
Meanwhile, the CA's still lookin' cute,
And I might see her tomorrow.

Friday was about pool & Monks.
Monks was good,
Cos I met old friends like Jean, Su & Jing.
Really appreciate these folks that I don't see alot.
Yeap, Jean's back from France,
But packing her bags for France again soon.

Saturday was about going places.

Sunday is about Friends - very good friends.
Woke up at Celine's place,
Went with her to meet Ruth at Queensway.
Swopped my deuter bag today for another deuter.
Yeap, gave up functionality & scale for aesthetics.
We're meeting up for Finding Nemo later.
Bumming days have started !!

Don't have to go to work tomorrow,
But I feel even busier than before.

Went to Hooters with colleagues today.
Very horrid service from the boobsy girls.
It was either because we didn't look like we would give them tips,
Or because we had special discount cards that cost 5 people to spend only $50.
Went elsewhere for a drink since the service was so lousy.
Ended up at CItyhall Starbucks for coffee and a fag.

Yeap, the CA went along too! :D

4 years in varsity,
And I've never celebrated my birthday with anyone there,
Simply because my birthday lies in the holidays.
But today, Esther, Jaco & Shok gave me a present!
It was a book by Mordilla.
Really quite funny (though there are lame stuff too),
And it works like a silent movie.
It was really a pleasant surprise! :)

The CA is back!

Spent the day at work rushing stuff and being zombified (lack of sleep),
Headed to meet Liang for dinner after work,
And we joined Celine, Ka and Cin to watch Ruth sing at The Ark.
Mingchen and Yan called too (and oops, I missed a couple of their calls),
Hence completing the list of people who spent my birthday with me.

Celine & Liang disappeared to nowhere after the performance,
Appearing from nowhere later with a Tiramisu cake with candles! YUM!
Celine, Liang & Ruth presented me a funky black shirt,!
While Ruth got me a Deuter Aircomfort Orange-Gray backpack on top of that.
They are damn nice, and I love them all !!
I really don't deserve these fantastic stuff
--- they even know the colors I like and sizes I wear!

It was a fantastic day, really.
And I'm glad my 23rd Birthday ended with people I love around me. :]
It's one of those days you feel damn lucky.
And it's probably the happiest day I've had this year!

I can repeat this a million times, but at the same time I'm also speechless.

Typed a damn long entry and it got wiped out!
Shall type in 2 portions now.

8th June, 11pm.
Picked Ruth and Celine up, and devised this crazy plan.
Ruth was suppose to trick Ka out of her house so that she can lift Ka up,
While we rush forward to slip the slippers we bought for her on her feet!
(The Pink & White slippers really suit Ka's sweet & cute personality damn well,
and it's all thanks to observant Celine that we found the right gift for Ka!)

The plan seemed to be failing as Ka walked out in her PJs,
And we surely didn't wanna lift her up in that in case of indecent exposure.
Plus she spotted Celine.
Ruth tried to cover up by saying something hiliarious like 'Hey Celine, whacha doin' here?!'
But while Ka hugged Ruth, I dashed forward and grabbed her right calf,
Removing her old slippers while slipping on the new one on her right foot.
She screamed --- she thought it was her dog!
After much struggling, I managed to slip on one slipper. *triumphant*

It's those crazy things that you do in Primary/Secondary school,
But hey, making Ka's birthday memorable was part of my plans!

Spent a couple of hours in there,
Resulting in a "Happy Birthday, Ka!"
And a "Happy Birthday, Jack!" half an hour later.
at 1159h of 8th June,
*beepbeepbeep* I received a couple of mesages in a row
-- and they were from the three of them sitting in front of me!
Apparently they were competiting and messaging under the desk.
LOL.

Met Van for a drink after sending Ruth and Celine home,
Since she messaged while I was on my way home,
And I haven't caught up with her for a really long time.
Despite the bad streak she's been having in her life,
She was good company.

My 23rd birthday started off this way.

Met Nette for dinner in Taka.
We both ate Japanese bentos,
But from different stalls in the foodcourt.
She had sushi balls that, in her words, tasted like Sweaty Palms.
Felt damn queasy when she said that as I took a bite.
I had helluvalot - Tempura Udon PLUS Unagi rice.
*pokes fats at tummy*
It's no wonder these things never go away.

Met Kiap and LM at Monks,
Had a couple of drinks.
A sad discovery made by Kiap and I
--- Can't seem to get high on alcohol no more.

Was pretty good to chill again after a month's abstinence.

Finally finished the project today,
And my bosses will be off from tomorrow onwards,
Till right before I leave my job.
Not sure if that's a good or bad thing.

Someone tapped me while I was at the AMK MRT bus stop.
It was Leo, an old friend.
How come everyone's hanging around AMK nowdays?
We somehow ended up at a kopitiam, and Pebble joined us.
Or rather, I joined Leo and Pebble.
Anyway, Leo is still damn hilarious after all these years.
From complaining about job-hunting to s&m to reminiscing.
She said some stuff that caused certain concerns,
Which explains why I'm feeling pensive now.

Another busy day at work.

Meeting my closest pals at the end of it,
Plus spending 4 odd hours together made it special.
Spent the night of Celine's birthday at Wala-Wala at Holland V.
Passed Celine her birthday present
- It was a pair of red board shorts!

Birthday Girl drove us to Casuarina for prata,
But those slackers were closed.
So they three of them ended up bumming at my place,
Where Liang received the Nike ACG Bag Ruth & I got for her.
Made my na shou cheese omelette for them,
And one of them (Ruth?) concluded that I can survive abroad. ;P

While we were flippin thru ancient photos,
Ming called just when we mentioned her name!
Talking about Cao Cao-s.
It was good while the conversation lasted,
But I kept feeling as if I was imposing on her and her precious seconds. :/
Life's super busy for her in London,
And I'm sure that was an understatement.

They left and 230am,
I just washed up and so I'm like wide awake. 8|
Tomorrow's gonna be a sleepy day at work.

Very quiet day at work with 2 girls gone.
Also a very busy day.
Add the lack of internet access to that,
And we get a totally boring Monday.

This is what happened during the only time-out we got :
Melv & I were talking about the chio bu-s from our batch in school.
We started off wanting to come up with a list of 7,
But we had trouble coming up with more than 3.
So we gave up, and concluded that it was a pretty sad situation.
Guess this is what happens with quality control.

A very busy Sunday.

Brought down the A3 portfolio to Study In Australia Fair,
Showed some prof and administrator my portfolio,
And I suppose that secured two placements in two universities.

Met Ruth at Bugis to buy Celine's birthday present.
Can't divulge what we've got,
Since I know Celine pops in here too!
Bugis always surprise me with the stuff and new shops.
I found a fako carabiner I wanted,
But decided to be more practical & rational,
So I didn't end up with something that said someone else's name.
Also ended up buying something very funky for another friend,
--- I can't wait to pass it to her when I next see her!

Tuition at Nette's place after that,
Followed by a trip to Katong Shopping Centre to buy my favourite gel,
Then to Cindy's place for a BBQ.
Was damn glad to meet all these secondary school people.
Even though I don't talk to them often enough,
I have to admit that I did miss them quite abit, especially Ka.
Will be celebrating our birthdays together!
Better try to get her a decent present soon.

Tired.

Found out recently that the CA looks more innocent than she really is.
But it's ok, I like it that way.
Went home after work with her on Friday,
And I'll say it's been good getting to know her a little better.
On the other hand, she's gonna be on leave for the next week,
So I'll miss seeing her at work.

Celebrated an ex-studiomate's birthday today at China Square Central.
There's an eating place below the building that looks like a total rip-off of March�,
And it's rumoured to be under the same boss.
Pre and post-dinner activies were mad.
We surprised the birthday girl by popping out from nowhere carrying a cake;
We played silly games at a cosy corner.
Apparently, that place is good for total budget chill-out,
Cos they have a 7-11, plus they blast assorted music.
Felt alot like those JC orientation outings.
It's always good to give ourselves time to be childish.
