After days of contemplation,
I have decided to go with my gut feeling,
To sign my contract with Lekker.
They have an interesting portfolio,
And the people seem genuinely nice.
(We even went for lou hei on Friday!)

Let's hope my intuition will be right this time.

DD leaves for London tonight,
And last night's goodbye do at St James,
Turned out to be one of the best,
And the longest party I have had for awhile.
I actually didn't pay the midnight surcharge,
For my cab ride home!

Summary of my St James Power Station experience:
Movida's design was pretty interesting,
But the crowd was a little strange (at 4am);
Gallery Bar had really cosy sofas,
And the typical cosy lighting;
Bellini Room was not the typical jazz place -
I particularly liked the bottled feature wall;
PowerHouse lives up to its name,
Pumping the adrenaline like those European clubs;
Dragonfly gave an amazing insight to Cantopop -
I never knew the intensity of this genre;
TigerLive was... just a little bit strange with the hosted show.
And of course,
The brains of St James was smart enough,
To provide the Station Kitchen,
A convenient place for people to have supper post clubbing!

Definitely a place to check out,
For people interested in design, clubs and bars.
Much better than Ministry of Sound SG (and cheaper too) !

A backdated post.

A couple of days were spent tracking the V-day gift;
Then I spent a good hour on travelling to Bedok,
To pick up the old school typewriter from the collector,
Another good hour travelling back;
The ink ribbon was running dry,
So I had to investigate which old school shops,
Still carry this kind of typewriter ribbons.
And it was eventually located in some corner of Chinatown,
Where I had to convince the lady to dig her storage boxes,
Since I needed it urgently and she didn't have stock on display.

And then it was done --- what a beauty!

For a moment it felt as if I was in the movie Garden State,
Where Zach and company had to travel to the most obscure places,
Just to retreive the pendant from his late mother for his birthday.

I hereby denounce flowers for V-day.
They are for people who don't desire interesting things,
And those who enjoy seeing their dates/partners get ripped.

Yeah I do believe I can be a romantic.
Hum.

Two weddings in one weekend.

Saturday.

Sophir had her wedding lunch reception,
At The Legends at Fort Canning.
it happened on the terrace,
Under a large white canvass.
Still the same old Sophir,
After three years of not seeing her.

Rojak07 at Pearl Bank Apartments in the evening,
Held in the penthouse on the 37th floor.
Rooms with an extremely breath-taking view,
Worthy of every single bit of envy from all.
(We also saw a notice about an en bloc sale -
I hope that will not carry through!)
Some presentations were interesting,
But both Js were tired from the heat,
So we left early.
I didn't feel that comfortable,
In that kind of environment anyway.
I guess I wasn't in a mingling mood.

Sunday.

Malay neighbour on the 9th floor,
Threw a wedding party at the void deck.
Very family mood,
Many smiling faces.
Malay weddings seem to be so free and easy -
It was from 11am to 5pm,
And anyone could come and go anytime.

Met Esther for a jog at Bishan Park at 6.
All the overwhelming residual energy,
From an upset in an earlier internet session,
Were not sufficient to last 2 rounds in the park.
I think I ought to jog more,
To burn off all the new spare tyre,
Happily developing around my waistline.

Only done with two photoshop renderings,
And I am already feeling tired. -_-

Found some time today,
To do some personal accounting,
Only to confirm my fears -
I am in the reds!

Down by half a K.
I think I ought to write this down,
In large font sizes and bold fonts,
To remind myself to feel the urgency,
And the hunger to fight for a job.

5 Weeks Later.

The dating period is officially over,
As of today (Monday).
Don't ask.
If anyone must insist on asking questions,
Don't expect clear answers.

And the next thing to look forward to,
Is DD's grand arrival from London...
And the completion of the design project.

I MUST find a job soon.
