Was waiting to work on files,
At 6pm in the evening yesterday.
Sent colleague an email to ask if they were completed,
Half an hour after he said it would be done in '3 minutes',
To get a response that 'patience is a virtue'.

From my point of view,
Efficiency is an asset,
Especially when I am waiting to go home.

Even if I am uncertain about my passion,
I know one thing for sure -
One of the main reasons for going for Masters,
Is because of the sick feeling,
Of only doing residual crap at work.

The lack of use of anything,
Makes it obselete after a while.
Brains + creativity need maintainence,
Because I'd rather stay sharp,
Than get sucked into mundaneness.

So... should I quit work earlier?
Humbug.
Bought a bike on Saturday,
From a guy who lives in West Hampsted.
Super duper nice area.
If I had the money,
This is where I want to live in London.

Between Finchley Road and Belsize Park,
A lady boarded the bus C11,
And a sense of familiarity filled me.
There is just something about her
- And mind you, it isn't because she was chio -
That made me keep wanting to look at her.
She sat behind me after a couple of minutes,
And an american accent came along.
Alas, I think I miss Nicole.

But other than the similarity,
Of the way their eyes looked,
I kept feeling there is something else,
That makes me think I've met her before.
Unfortunately, I never found out.

Could we have met in the Matrix?

A huge postal package for me,
Delivered by special delivery from Compton,
From a person I have only emailed with.

Contents:
One pack of BCH Bah Kwa,
Sachets of instant Milo,
plus a handful of Rabbit milk sweets.

Big pleasant surprise is an understatement.

Thank you to the girl,
Plus to Hsin-ee and May who are her friends.
This Sue-fen is really damn nice.

Gave tulips & chocolates for V-Day.
3 sets of it.
Not the most romantic, I know,
But Indian dinner for 4,
Despite being with 3 Swedish girls,
Isn't the most romantic either,
So I guess that works out ok.

To cut a long story short,
I've moved to Cricklewood,
Where the Swedish 'neighbour',
Induces smiles on my face.

The lady barista at Monmouth,
Gave me a little warm smile,
In a way which seemed like she knew,
How I really needed that latte.

Disciplinary factor & Defence system,
Suffered a near total collapse last night.
Spent 6 hours drinking instead of working -
Despite portfolio deadline* dangerously close.

Met up with the Swed blue eyes,
Who was here on internship with a friend.
We went to a nearby pub,
Which had some karaoke going on underground.
We witnessed total jaw-dropping confidence,
And the epitome of oblivion.

Met the French-Canadian gang later,
For a little drink in Soho,
Spent some time walking around,
Trying to find a nice club for them.

Had a close encounter with Death,
While dashing across the road for a nightbus.
It is strange to think how some of us (me),
Have this reflex to stop when a car is approaching,
With your hands out looking like you want to stop it.

It was then that I realised,
That I didn't go clubbing,
Because I really would rather sleep.
But instead of sleeping when I arrived home,
I managed to convince myself to work on my portfolio,
Before I realised I cannot hold up anymore.

I really don't know how I am going to survive,
In the cao-muggers-work-till-u-die NUS course.

* The booboo made on the deadline,
Is that I thought Monday was 8th Feb,
And school administration didn't correct me.
So now I am not sure if I have to hand up,
By Monday or 8th Feb.
Entertainment received this week:

1. "i'm like DL1101, she's G4404.
( DL= decent looking; G = goddess )
"

2. "not submit to wilson one. dead's office. "

3. Brokeback To The Future

4. "..that Hee Lee Min, wah she,
she think she fairy princess izzit?"

(Senior's reaction on a tutor's prom photo)

Being lame, lazy & illl-disciplined,
I am going to spent about 4-5 hours,
Having goodbye drinks at The Langley,
Meeting Catrin + Ylva + Louis,
Then hopefully getting home to do portfolio.

2 New Years later (Typical + Chinese),
Things still haven't been picking up.
The one single thing that is up,
Is the amount of work to clear.
And there is portfolio to too,
Plus some other stuff...
I am going bonkas soon.

YT wrote:
when you're desperate,
you acquire unusual skills.

That is not always true,
For I didn't acquire any Rhino or 3DMax skills,
Or the ability to sketch freehand.

Two saviors:

Yesterday YT saved my skin at NUS,
By handing up my application stuff for me.

Today Stelios came back into the office,
And saved me from total despair from 3D modelling.

it's really fucked up process.
i am trying not to go nuts... =(

How could anyone have expected,
A 3D amateur like me have done it,
When even the expert found it a headache ?!

I learnt 2 things:
1. Holes and bad edges drive everyone mad,
Especially computational architecture geeks/geniuses.
2. To create cool computer graphics,
Just use a lot of meshes & triangulated surfaces,
And they don't always have to make sense.
