To cut a very long story short,
At least for now.
Arrived in California after a lot of pain,
Without my luggage.
No gifts, no clothes, no nothing.
Other than cameras & a jacket.
But had a very good Christmas.
Still hanging around waiting for luggage.

Project Small Hands © .

I had a fantastic dream on Stockholm's Rygerfjord,
Of bumping into Angelina Jolie on the streets.
She was holding the hands of some kids,
Watching some Chingay-like procession with them,
As a part of her Charity project for kids.
And the name was "Project Small Hands".
Naturally, I was very excited & started to chat her up,
But she said she didn't have time for proper conversation,
Since she was rushing off to Cambodia,
Pointing to her 60L haversack,
And a remote control mini-hovercraft swung around her waist.

So the name of the expedition to Cambodia is born ---
If I ever go back to Singapore to lead one with SIF.
Something to do with kids, of course.
And perhaps I will write in to Angelina for sponsorship.
Hmmmm.

Stockholm,
Where the sun sets at 2 pm.
Cold & darkness =blur shots.
As usual,
Let the pictures speak.

Company Christmas party at Vinopolis last night.
Very interesting venue which looks like a museum.

Pre-dinner reception meant:
1 champagne, 2-3 kirs, 1 red wine.
Can't quite recall what was for dinner itself,
Other than the memory of chewing on ham & couscous,
And some lemon tart with great strawberry sauce.
More red wine white wine redwinewhitewineredwhiteredwhite.

A drunk intern swang the accountant's newly-wed wife,
In jolly rounds on the dancefloor.
- Guess he may not get paid at the end of the month.
Model workshop head & wife ballroom danced to Beyoncé, Kylie, etc,
And impressed all of us 10-20 years younger.
Directors were hopping around joyously.
Hey, I think they only get their share of fun once in a year.

Said the last goodbye to Tori.
The next time we meet,
It'll be either in Singapore or Texas.

After the party ended,
François insisted we go drinking elsewhere.
Thinking that there might be alcohol in the office fridges,
6 of us cabbed back to the office.
It was quite a shock when we arrived at midnight,
To find someone who passed the party for a dateline.

After checking the fridges on all floors,
We found nothing except half a leftover bagel.
Dan M. intuitively dumped it in the microwave,
While I intuitively stuffed it into my mouth.
3 of the tired folks decided to call it a night,
But François decided we should head to Zoo bar.
And there we spent the rest of the night,
Till the bar was closing.

That night seemed extra long -
Maybe due to the long winter nights,
Maybe due to the long drinking sessions.
Who knows?

A sign of ageing?

At the regular gym washroom.
I was walking from the basin,
Towards my haversack.
Smiled at a classmate who walked past.
Then it struck me.

Where am I ?

I stood there for a few seconds,
Stumbled 2 metres forward,
Managed to find a seat to rest,
And finally found my orientation,
After nearly a minute.
(No - it wasn't a big washroom.)

A temporary memory loss.
Stress? Fatigue?
Not sure about that.
Let's hope it is just this once,
For I don't want to suffer this,
When I am out in the foreign cities.

Garden State.

I like the vehicle.

No Keira,
Natalie also can.
I love Sam's quirky character in the show,
But... I think I still prefer the Brit accent.

3.15am,
And I'm still in the office with T-Bone.

Haven't been able to focus these days.
Financial pressures, work,
Nervousness about going to USA,
Plus Xmas gifts stress -
Any suggestions what to get for an outdoor-sy girl,
Who rides, surfs(I think), snowboards, etc.?

A piece of news to lure Bin to UK:
While out at a club yesterday,
I saw an Ashlee Simpson-lookalike.

I just became the lead character,
Of the most ridiculous & unbelievable tale,
Ever told to the whole wide world.
And I had innocently believed it,
With my heart and soul.

Feelings induced by a web of lies,
Cannot be love.
No, not at all.
