I suck at Goodbyes.
The day before Sofia moved to Uppsala,
She brought us to see her grandparents,
Mary and Ragnar.
It was Allhelgona,
A day when people put candles,
In memory of the dead.
We went to
Skogskyrkogården.
The sky was beautifully tinted by the light from the candles.
There was a letter left with a rose among the candles,
Which Sofia translated to us with her sweet voice.
".. I remember when I got so scared,
When you took your extra (prosthetic) leg off.
I kind of wondered why it made me so scared...
but I miss you and I miss your curly hair...
..we love you, old grandmother..."
How cute and sweet.
The best thing about hanging out with Sofia,
Is that we always get to do the
real local stuff.
I am glad I am not the only one who will miss this.
