Today Mom asked me about some of my ex-girlfriends/dates.

"So did her parents know?"
"Uh, no."
"Was it a bad break up?"
"Hmmm not exactly bad but not great either..."
"Your aunt asked how come she can study ___ (the certain major)
if she herself has issues."
"What! How come aunt knows about her...
but actually I think most people with issues study ___."

"I wanted to ask you about it the last time."
"Huh when last time?"
"When you were seeing this young girl. You gave her tuition or something."
"Oh that one..."
"So who didn't want the relationship?"
"We were not together what."
"But didn't you two hang out all the time?"
"Oh... ya but still not together.
Anyway we didn't match so well intellectually..."

It just occurred to me,
That we might be thinking about a different lian...
(Because I didn't think anyone I was going out with was very lian)
I shall check with her next weekend.

It's kinda weird,
Yet also refreshing that we can talk like that.
